Another testing phase at the United Downs geothermal project starting in mid-July 2020. The workover rig is now arriving at the site and will be assembled over the next month. Once the rig is in place, we will be running some wireline logging tests (including taking some rock samples from depths of up to 5km). This will be followed by pumping tests to prove that we can produce sufficient water at the required temperature from the deep rock to supply the power plant. Hopefully we will start to see some steam at the surface towards the end of July, but please follow our regular updates on Twitter.
